decision last night to charge 3 officers. eric mckinley, james fisher and cameron levy. >> with involuntary manslaughter in gonzales is death. they're facing for years behind bars. it's the first time charges have been filed in the case since the former county da cleared all 3 officers of any wrongdoing. this all started exactly 3 years ago after gonzales died while under police custody. >> of the alameda police department in the initial report, the department reported the 26 year-old died after a physical altercation resulting in a medical emergency. but in body camera video released a week later, gonzalez could be seen in handcuffs being pinned to the ground for more than 5 minutes were he eventually stopped breathing? the alameda county coroner's office ruled the death a homicide. >> these are not officers. there were operating out of control. they exercised great restraint. they struggle with for long time before they were finally get him and cups. there were no or anything of

district attorney. otherwise, you know, we will not be here today and talking about a week. all safe says it is waiting for the alameda county board of supervisors to accept its recalled certification from the registrar of voter's and then set a date for an election. >> requests for comment from price's office and campaign have not been answered. philippe djegal all kron. 4 news. >> tonight we have learned the name of the 17 year-old who was killed in a double homicide in napa over the weekend. authorities have identified her as sasha move fetch. the shooting happened saturday night on riverside drive near the napa river. authorities she was killed alongside 19 year-old eileen at the u.s. and your police arrested 3 people in connection to the killings. officers say one of them, john nicholson shot and killed the victims. the other 2 suspects to santa rosa women have been charged with aiding and a felony.

>> now, take good look at your screen there. authorities are asking you to keep your eyes out for this incarcerated person. they say he escaped the valley conservation camp in calaveras county. state. officials say 26 year-old jonathan leal betancourt escaped around 3 this morning. they say that he was serving a five-year sentence for burglary, car theft and buying stolen equipment. they say he's about 5 foot 11 with brown eyes and black hair and might be wearing gray sweat pants as well as a gray shirt. anyone with information about his whereabouts is being asked to call 9-1-1. to the north bay. now petaluma police are searching for 2 men they say stole $3,000 worth of power tools from a hardware store. police say that these men loaded shopping carts with milwaukee tools and then ran of friedman's home improvement store tuesday evening. officers say that the men were seen driving off in a black jeep cherokee. anyone with

average, a little bit cooler than yesterday, though. you can see that up to those low to mid 70's inland. some nice 60's, low 70's around the bay and out of the coast. some 50's right now at few clouds start to roll in a little bit there at half moon bay where we have a little sunshine today. but a little cloudy start to the day with the marine layer. so obviously you can see there in the 50's same story in san francisco right now. conquered still at 70 degrees. but getting that cooldown going, we're a little breezy out there, too. and that's going to be something that sticks with us for our saturday. but as far as tonight goes, i think it's all about the marine layer rolling back in and you'll see that as we look at this evening and then tomorrow morning, having said that, we'll have a very similar day tomorrow where we do see that start to dissipate. hang on to the coast a little bit. but that's about noon time that you're looking at. so pretty nice night out there, although we'll have a partly cloudy skies and we will have a little bit of a breeze. certainly you can see the temperatures are going to be relatively mild there between about 46 52 degrees. that's not bad. and then, of course, we're going to talk about what's happening for the weekend. and i have good news,

folks. we're going to stay nice and dry. you're going to get some nice sunshine in there, too. i'll be back in just a little bit. we'll talk more about that and have your weekend forecast for you. back to you. >> thanks, kyla. happening now, civil rights activist and scholar angela davis is speaking to a sold-out crowd in the alameda high school auditorium. the black student unions at castro valley high and alameda high joined forces to get davis to speak tonight. 1800 people were expected to attend. the students are hoping the event will empower other students and adults to enact change within their communities. tesla's eye-catching cyber trucks are being recalled. federal officials say that there's a manufacturing flaw to the trucks, accelerator pedal and it causes it to get stock at full speed. >> my first 4 as a robin as but spoke with owner of the cybertruck today about this recall. >> the cybertruck honor i spoke to says he has not had his accelerator gets stuck but search social media and you'll find several videos of owners

>> people are starting to be aware the abuse that's happening. >> turns out women's prison in dublin today trying to put a stop to it. hundreds of women being sent away this as their prison gets ready to close due to staffing misconduct, including alleged assaults of inmate lawyers filed a temporary restraining order today urging a judge to temporarily block the transfer of anyone who still left the prison. now organizers say dozens of women have already been sent away, which puts him at grave risk of psychological stress. kron 4 s charles clifford reports. >> this past monday, the bureau of prisons announced that fci, dublin, the federal women's prison here in the east bay would be shut down and at the incarcerated women inside would need to be moved to other locations, potentially thousands of miles

away. that has resulted in outrage and the lawsuit outside fci, dublin on friday, dozens of protesters demanded that the bureau of prisons stop the planned transfer of the women incarcerated. here. it was a shock to all of and should peril with the california coalition of women. prisoners says the announcement that the prison would be closing as left those here confused inward. they're terrified the public. colleen, like it each day thinking i'm going to be transferred today. i don't know what i'm not going to have contact with the people. i love. the coalition also says that many prisoners don't need to be transferred, that those who have health issues are near the end of their sentences. for those who could finish their confinement at home should be released rather than moved. prison officials have said that the closures due to staff misconduct short staffing and aging facilities. >> but shapiro worries that the closures and attempt to escape being held responsible for problems at the prison, including alleged abuse. they wanted hear that and they want to disappear. the people

inside hoping to halt the transfers. the coalition has filed a motion in federal court seeking a temporary restraining order to stop the bureau of prisons from moving the prisoners. the motion also request that if the transfers do resume, that the court ensure that prisoners rights are not being violated. also on friday, edward canales the union president representing officers assigned fci, dublin, said that they want the president to remain open and that they support reforms. my officers want to remain part of this community, opportunity carry out mission. >> i believe ship as of friday afternoon. it's unclear how many if any prisoners have been transferred to other locations in alameda county, charles clifford kron, 4 news. >> the area students protesting in san francisco today demanding a cease-fire in gaza to protect the people and the environment in the war zone. protesters gathering at embarcadero plaza marching across the financial district.

it's kind of a fun topic today. another beautiful day out there. let's take a look at the blue skies. >> i'm going to show you right now. the view from mount tam, which you can see is a stunner today. we've got nice clarity out there. a few clouds starting to work their way in now. and that will be the case as we go into the night, very similar to last night where we have a little marine layer that will build its way back in. having said that, these temperatures are still really nice conquered right now, hanging on to 70 degrees. we're at 57 and downtown san francisco. but you see some really nice 60's across the bay. difference in temperatures between now in 24 hours ago. with the exception here, san francisco, oakland, half moon bay, everybody else running a little bit cooler because that's kind of been the influence of having that marine layer this morning, especially that when it hung on at the coast. as we look at the big picture here, you can notice a pretty pronounced low-pressure system to our north and west. that is ultimately going to affect our weather next week. but this weekend we're looking good. having said that, take your eye a little bit over here. you can see the sierra getting a little action. that same impetus of energy that have

knocked our temperatures down a little bit and brought the marine layer in also causing a little bit of a disturbance there right but live look outside here again. you can see some of those clouds are starting to roll in over the next couple of days. absolutely. gorgeous weather for you can see upper 70's low 80's as we head through saturday sunday and monday. it's going to be looking really good. we do have a little wind to contend with just to show you as we get into tomorrow afternoon, it really starts to pick up, especially along the coast. we could see 20 to 25 mile per hour gusts that will get better as we get into sunday. you can see those numbers not looking quite so interesting. and then there's this the chance of rain. i wanted to just talk about this really quickly because it is just a very slight chance, ladies. but it is in the forecast and it's starting to kind of come together now. so we're going to keep an eye on this as we get to next week when we see those models tightened up. but right now it's looking like is a very slight chance of very light rain that would come in late thursday night into friday. what do you think? do we want rain? do we for specially always good you

>> we've seen gas prices jump $0.50 in the last month, but a slight relief is in sight for bay area. drivers, gas prices across the bay. they've actually dropped about $0.5 in most areas compared to the beginning of the week. so take a look from the north bay down to the peninsula. you're paying about 5.70, for a gallon of regular to the east. bay gas is about 5.64. in alameda county, 5.60, in cocoa county in the south bay 5.56. for a gallon of regular marin county may be a little closer to building and all affordable housing complex on the side of marine wood plaza. >> the county says that developers want to create 125 apartment units on that site. now it would be on the corner of miller creek road and marine wood avenue. the county says that the project was
