out leaving a cold kind of blustery day behind. and while all is quiet on the radar rain shower. we're looking at the potential for another coastal storm if you can believe that. some of us could even see plowable snow. as all this of course comes as thousands of people in our area still without power. after last week's nor'easter. we already have delays and closings at the bottom of your screen, you know that old saying, march comes in like a lion, this a like a bunch. a one, two punch. peco said there's still more than 76,000 customers without power. psgeg, thousand customers, both companies are working around the clock. we got team coverage from the winter weather authority. i think i miss february >> i do too, iain year talking about back-to-back storms outside in old city, it's pleasant but the wind is picking

coverage as we head to delaware county, one of the hardest hit areas. let's get it out to joyce evans whose of live in drexel hill with an document. >> reporter: there's a bit of good news here tonight. power just restored a few hours ago tonight, in this neighborhood right behind me, drexel hill including my house, which is back over there, i got to tell you i'm really happy about that. inconvenience but a lot of people are still in the cold in the dark or worse. >> what did you do >> making the most of the daylight, martha speed reading the newspaper before everything goes dark for a third night. then, lights come on. in her section of drexel park. >> yeah. >> could have been worse, could be horrible weather. >> reporter: it's much worse for patrick mccullough >> that door blew open. and there it went. >> reporter: an explosion blew a hole through the living room floor right above the furnace in

his basement. when power was restored. luckily he his wife and and four children were living with the family >> we lost everything. >> reporter: insurance and red cross are hoping >> i haven't felt it yet. and a good thing is that me and my kids and wife are safe. the worst part is the kids love their pets so and they're just like family and that's been rough. >> the damage is extensive and it's throughout the county. >> reporter: now, chairman mcblane is still in the dark tonight himself, he will not get his power restored another three days, it's going to be wednesday i think he said. he's asking for schools throughout the county to open two hours later so they can make for people to get through at the traffic and just get back home for those people who left their homes and all the dark and the cold. also, there are warming cinders around that are still open, now,

brad? >> reporter: iain, police still on the scene coming r on about eight hours working on the first floor of of this duplex, the district attorney's office is leading the investigation this officer involved shooting h montgomery county homicide detectives investigated well into the night after abington police shot man sunday afternoon following reports that he stabbed several people. it started around 2:15 when police say a woman who had been stabbed came running out of her home crossed the street to the mckinly fire station. police were called and at least two abington officers came to the door of this duplex in the 800 block of jenkintown road >> the suspect was in the house, there were other victims, officers immediately forced entry into the house. confronted the suspect. suspect refused to comply with officers demands, and officer was -- the officer had to discharge his weapon. and shoot the suspect.

>> reporter: several shots were fired in the suspect was hit. police are not saying if the man was killed, no officers were injured. neighbors say a woman and her two children moved into the first floor a couple years ago. her boyfriend also moved in and neighbors report hearing arguing at times, it's not clear how many were stabbed but at least three were taken to abington hospital >> the chief is telling me the suspect did have a gun. it is unclear tonight if he actually fired gun's they're not release be the conditions of the victims or at this point, the names of the officers involved. iain >> bill cosby due in court for a pretty hearing comes as his lawyers are clashing with prosecutors over how many of his accusers are allowed to testify at his april 2nd sexual assault trial. prosecutors want to call as many as 19 other women to the witness stand to show that he had a five decade pattern of drugging.

and harming women. cosby lawyers said they would seek to delay the retrial if other accusers are given a chance to testify. this, of course, is cosby's second trial. first with a jury from allegheny county ended in a mistrial when jurors failed to reach a verdict. since then, cosby made public appearances and he's mourning the death of his daughter. one man dead another in critical condition after an early morning shooting on the north 6th street in north philadelphia where police found a 34-year-old and a 30-year-old had been shot while sitting in a car. the 34-year-old died at the hospital. the suspect is a white man who got away in a gray or silver chevy impala. robert mueller seen expanding investigation into russia's meddling in the election, new information, russia may not have been the only country trying to influence things. of as fox news correspond lauren

open seats. election national implications as pennsylvania democratics believe the map give themselves a better chance to win the seats and chip away at the gop's u.s. house majority. happening now, changes in one south jersey school district. cherry hill public schools will have increased security. police officers will be patrolling all of the district's buildings. visitors to schools will be required to show photo identification and either have an appointment or know their child student id number, these changes come of course, because of those protests from students and parents after florida school shooting. and in the aftermath of a popular teacher's suspension after school officials say that he made comments regarding security at cherry hill high school east. meantime. as the nation debates gun control it appears sales of firearms are dropping off. in the past, mass shootings generally led to an uptick in the sale of guns as of people become concerned the government

. 4200 block of wissahickon in nicetown, police say a 48-year-old man in a gmc hit a concrete barrier and a fence and was ejected. he was pronounced at the dead. crash is still under investigation. another deadly accident. this time on roosevelt boulevard near st. vincent street. it happened before 4:00 a.m. police say a 26-year-old woman

crashed into a tree had to be taken to a hospital where she died a short time later. raising money for a beloved philadelphia bartender. that was the goal today in center city. this is sheila mon glen a long-time bartender at dirty franks before she was hit by a car. leaving her with severe head trauma. jennifer joyce was at the fund-raiser. >> sheila, she's the light. she's like a slight. so positive, so warm, so welcoming, just a love. >> reporter: it's the light of sheila and the love for this long time dirty franks for that brought hundreds of people to keep sheila's light alive >> you see people who maybe haven't been to this bar 20 years moved out of the city and have come by to pay their respect and share memories.

is john white. staff members reported the missing vases on february 14th and after investigating, police believe white sold almost 3,000 to a couple of local scrap yards. the total value is estimated $175,000. if you know where john white is please call police. in alabama, hundreds of people remember bloody sunday in 1965. racial violence erupt weather voting rights protesters when they tried to cross the bridge from selma to montgomery county. >> reporter: march 7, 1965, 600 people crossed the bridge to march from selma alabama to montgomery. it was supposed to be a peaceful demonstration. the for the voting rights of african-americans. george wallace ordered straight troopers to stop the march, armed with clubs and gas masks, the white state troopers some

even on horseback attacked the protests on the bridge, the nation watched as women and children grasped for air as police fired tear gas cannisters. of joanne bland was 11 years old when she participated in the march >> i thought the tear gas cannisters were gunshots. i thought they were killing the people down in front, because that's the first thing we heard. the gunshots then the screams. >> reporter: outrage by the images protesters from around the country came to selma and two days later, civil rights leader martin luther king, junior led a second march but he too was turned around after holding a prayer session, a third margin was successful after a federal judge permitted the protest and linden johnson ordered them to protect 25,000 protesters over the five-day 54-mile march from selma to the steps of the capitol in montgomery. >> this was where people stood.

check this out, waves pounding houses along a shore line in massachusetts. waves and flooding led to a state of emergency as the nor'easter causing serious problems, tens of thousands of people dealing with no power, heat and a huge mess, lisa evers reports. >> anthony utility crews grappled with danger and overwhelming demand in west cester county. tens of thousands of household were without power in the dark and cold all weekend, with in

news let's take a live look at allentown and lehigh county. you bet get ready. it's coming, you might need your psnow, high winds as well.ave kathy, really >> unbelievable. isn't it >> february was great. february was quiet. march coming in like a lion and the devastating winds in our suburbs, a live look really nice in penns landing, quiet in old city, the temperature is 33. look at the wind be it's out of the north northwest at 24. gusting to 32 miles an hour, windchills are in the 20's, it's 31 in allentown and pottstown it's 30. 34 in millville with the strong northerly wind, take a look at these wind gusts i was just looking at them. we have a 32 miles an hour wind in philadelphia, 25 in millville, 29 in allentown, 22 in lancaster. the wind will keep up overnight and even during the day.

gusts at least 25. look at the current snow cover, not much to the west. this storm is going to change that, we have an area of low pressure that blizzard conditions in dakotas. and will that will move through chicago and redevelop off the cost. where exactly where it redevelop, we call this a miller type b storm. thigh area of low pressures, this one goes away and then moves up eastern sea board. not a lot of cold air, we will start off with rain and change over snow who gets the most. rain shower looks like possibly three to six inches of snow, who gets the most snow is still going to be up in the air, depending on where that storm lines up. timing is tuesday night into wednesday. so wednesday looks like the stormy day, the storm is out by is that your signature, tracking the midatlantic coast through the philadelphia area,

close and today at the springfield country club there was a fund-raiser in support of the st. patrick's day parade. korea and bob kelly were there. had a little irish with a winner given the title of best of delco. the fund-raiser was organized by city avenue observation association of philadelphia. philadelphia st. patrick's day parade will be here on fox 29 next sunday beginning at noon, the city of gloucester county head the annual st. patrick's day parade. there was double amount. the city holds a contest for best decorated house or business. elton storm off stage during a performance thursday, tmz reports he got frustrated with fans. he said i'm out of here. crowd thought the show was over
