so flood warnings here across the gulf coast states in towards florida. and there's the flash flood risk. not as bad as it was yesterday but certainly something to watch for as we go through today and saturday. river flooding. okay. so even though the storm has moved eastward, we are still going to see the potential for the flooding and just within the last hour, i have seen more major river flooding in the texas area. a lot of these rivers and streams funnel into the bigger cities and, again, that's going to be a big problem. in some cases we were talking about flood alerts that they haven't seen since hurricane harvey in 2017 for texas. i have said this a lot of times. it doesn't take a hurricane. it doesn't take a named storm. it doesn't take a tropical storm system to cause extensive damage for some of these vulnerable areas. especially the houston area. along the east coast, along the gulf coast, rather, see the potential for stronger storms, the northern plains as well. it's going to be a messy weekend for a lot of cities across the eastern u.s. so
